About Brake, the road safety charity

Brake is a road safety charity (registered charity no 1093244) with two aims - preventing road crashes through education and campaigns, and supporting people bereaved or seriously injured in road crashes. Brake founded and runs Road Safety Week as an annual event to stimulate community involvement in promoting road safety awareness year-round. This flagship event is growing year on year!

Make a donation and become a ‘Friend of Brake’. You can make a secure online donation, call us on 01484 559909 to donate by credit card over the phone, or download a form to send by post.

Get trained to deliver road safety presentations to company drivers, parents or young people in your community through our Road Safety Academy - it’s free and you can save lives!

Fundraise for Brake. You could do anything from sky-diving, to doing a sponsored buggy-push with a group of parents, to climbing a mountain with colleagues as part of a team-builder.Follow this link for loads more ideas and to get in touch with our fundraising team.
